The Truth About Losing Stomach Fat
Most of the book Losing Stomach Fat focuses primarily on education and training exercises for abdominal strength. When people hear “abdominal exercises” and “strength training” think they will need to pay a gym, or spend a training area at home. This is not the case. You only need some very basic tools to do the exercises from your own home.
These exercises are designed specifically to enhance the muscles of the abdomen. To make it even simpler, the first part of the book focuses on teaching the anatomy of the abdominal muscles, so you know exactly what is working when you are performing the exercises. In doing fitness routines, knowledge about what you are doing is very good.
This book even shows how they should exercise the women who want a toned abdomen, and they do not like the idea of a “strength training.” This is because there are many exercises that guarantee for a balanced workout.
Genetic screen predicts survival in liver cancer
A generic screen can predict recurrence and survival in hepato cellular carcinoma, according to a study published in the new England Journal of medicine.
Researchers identified a gene-expression signature associated with survival in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. An independent gene-expression signature was reported to correlate with late tumor recurrence. These finding have implications for predicting survival and late recurrence of patients following treatment for liver cancer. The development of a genetic screen may also enable more intense preventions to be applied to those patients carrying the genetic signature for recurrence
Potassium loss may explain thiazide-induced diabetes
Potassium loss could explain why people develop diabetes while taking thiazide diuretics for hypertension, researchers have found.Result of the new study published in the journal Hypertension open up new posibilites for preventative strategies, such as potassium supplementation.
This offers the tantalizing prospect of negating the diabotagenic potentials of thiazides by simply giving potassium replacement said a Singapore expert

This study indicates the thiazide diuretics can be used safely provided potassium levels are regularly monitored and controlled.Researchers also encourage doctors to established baseline potassium level prior prescribing thiazides.
We would normally look at (serum potassium levels)only after 6 weeks of treatment to make sure it was not low enough to cause hearth problem,”said the study lead author,Dr.Taric shafi.”As result, might not be aware that it dropped significantly from where it was before treatment-putting the patients at risk for developing diabetes.
Using data from the SHEP”trial,a large randomized of isolated systolic hypertension, researchers analyzed the outcomes of 3790 non-diabetic patients aged 60 and treated with either chlorthalidone or placebo. Each 0.5-meq/L decrease in serum potassium (from average level baseline level) was associated with a 45 percent higher risk of incident diabetes .
