Depressions affects post MI prognosis

Incident somatic depression (new-onset depressive symptoms in patients not initially depressed) is associated with poor prognosis in cardiac patients, according to two studies conducted in Netherlands.The multicenter studies found that the subtypes of depressions occurring after myocardial infraction (MI) differ in cardiotoxicity and response to treatment
